How did you become a Legal PA?
The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs is delighted to announce its partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University. The University has developed a new degree programme in Business Law and Management, which has been successfully accredited by ILSPA. The University’s aim is to bring awareness to the alternative roles which can be secured in the legal profession, such as Paralegal, Legal Secretary and Licensed Conveyancer, rather than the traditional roles of a Solicitor or Barrister. Cardiff School of Management at Cardiff Met has a great mantra - 'Get Competent, Get Qualified, Get Hired’, which mirrors ILSPA’s ethos.
Legal mental health charity LawCare is hosting its first conference this year to celebrate its 25th anniversary. This is your opportunity to learn more about how to improve the culture in the law and how to make your legal organisation a happy and healthy place to work.
The online conference ‘Building a Better Life in the Law’ takes place on Wednesday 28th September and features leaders across the profession who are pioneering new ways of working. They will share their experiences of improving the culture in law through an interactive programme of plenaries, panel discussions, workshops and breakout sessions.
The programme has three main tracks:
